Japan has been bombed to the point that most of her cities are rubble and barely any military targets are left. An invasion of Japan is being considered to end the war. This proposed invasion of Japan may end up costing millions of American lives.

in 1945. You have just learned that the United States military has an awesome
new weapon: the atomic bomb. It may be able to end the war without the loss
of any more American lives, and a lessened number of Japanese lives. What do
